I am Dr. Prakash Sojitra, a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries. My journey began with a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry, and since then, I’ve dedicated my career to advancing healthcare technologies through innovation, regulatory excellence, and strategic leadership.
Throughout my career, I’ve held pivotal roles including Chief Technology Officer, Chief Scientist, and Director of Regulatory Affairs, contributing to the successful development and commercialization of multiple FDA IDE and CE-approved drug-delivery medical devices. I specialize in regulatory strategy, quality assurance, intellectual property, and risk management, with hands-on experience in FDA submissions, ISO 13485 compliance, and global regulatory frameworks.
As the founder and director of IPSurface, a regulatory and technical consultancy, I lead diverse projects supporting startups and established firms in navigating complex regulatory landscapes. I’ve authored over 10 research publications, contributed to several book chapters, and hold more than 100 granted patents across multiple jurisdictions.
My passion for innovation is matched by my commitment to mentorship and education. I actively mentor Ph.D. and undergraduate students and serve as a guest editor and reviewer for several scientific journals. I also hold certifications as a registered patent and trademark agent in India and Canada, and I’m a certified ISO 13485 lead auditor.
Driven by curiosity and a desire to make a meaningful impact, I continue to explore new frontiers in drug delivery systems, nanotechnology, and regulatory science.
